Small Room, Big Sound

There is a studio on the third floor with no sign on the door. It holds two people if they agree to sit close. The ceiling is low. The couch is older than the equipment.

This is where the loudest, widest record of the month was made. Not because the room is special, but because the people inside it refuse to wait for a better one. They put a microphone in the hallway for the echo. They recorded the chorus with the door closed and the fan off. They asked the cat to be quiet, and the cat agreed to try.

Big sound is not a building. It is a decision. Somebody decides that a small room will not stop them, and then they spend nine hours proving it.

When you hear that chorus, listen for the space behind it. That is the hallway. That is the fan that was off. That is the cat.
